Originally the workers’ cottages for the local Tillmouth Estate Courtyard Cottages had fallen into disrepair until they were transformed in 2007-2008.

They now offer the visitor comfort and luxury in a tranquil setting.

The cottages are easily accessed from the A698 between Berwick and Wooler and are set within private gardens looking out onto a private courtyard with views across fields towards the Cheviot Hills.

Tastefully decorated and furnished these self-catering cottages still retain many of their original features whilst including more modern ones such as ground-source heating, heated floors, and en-suite bathrooms.

The décor in the cottages is complemented by beautiful photographic images of Northumberland provided by photographer Richard Bown.

Visitors can expect:

Full entertainment systems are provided with Digital Freeview TV, DVD, and hi-fi. We also provide a wide range of more traditional options such as board games and books, and binoculars for bird spotting.
